I guess there won't be a cake with 19 candles today, but nevertheless, it's my 19th birthday. Gladly I can say I did some very cool and exiting things being 'only' 18. One of the things I did was going on a trip to the United States. For 2 months, all by myself, 18 years young. It was the best experience of my life so far. Learned a lot and had so much fun. Some of the other things I did while being 18: I moved to Amsterdam. I went to fun festivals/parties/concerts. Visited Disneyland with Anne. Copenhagen with my Uncles. Spain with my family. Quite a cool year. And I'm happy to be able to say that nothing tragic happened, which I'm grateful for.
So what will I be doing today, on my 19th birthday? Something I've been looking forward to a lot. First, dinner with the family. I haven't been home in a while so that will be fun. Afterwards I'm going to BERLIN. Berlin?! BERLIN. Why? To go to a festival with my dear friend Sabine. The 1975 are performing there so yes, it will be amazing. Sabine and I also have two days to explore the city itself. I have never been there so I can't wait to see what's the hype about.
