Style Theory: Every year I manage to miss this lavender field in full bloom, it is called Mayfield Lavender and is 5 minutes from my house. I drive past it most days but never manage to visit until the last minute in August when the lavender turns brown! This year I made it and it is beautiful, the colour is stunning, so rich and vibrant. Colour really makes me happy, it feeds the eyes, it's good for the soul and when wearing it it gives you a glow.

This summer, red is dominating clothes-wise, last year it was all about pink hues, this year red is winning the colour battle for me and I have embraced it, my wardrobe is filled with brights pops of red from dresses to bags to shoes, I was missing a red top so this Wallis polka dot top is the perfect addition. It is super lightweight and flattering, the frills sit beautifully along the neckline and it hangs perfectly, along with it never ever creasing it is a hit with me, I have worn it three times already and only got it last weekend! Just add a pair of jeans or shorts and a pair of espadrilles/sandals, throw on some tassel red earrings and you look like you have made a massive effort when really you haven't (my kind of outfit!)

Another surprise Wallis hit was my gold sliders I bought last year and wore every hot day last year and am wearing them non stop this year again..honestly they are so comfortable and the easiest things to slip on, look great with jeans, shorts and dresses..
It also comes in red (although they do call it orange so it may be a more coral colour in real life....)
Think I need to add the red to my shopping bag!!
