Ten years ago, I set a clothing budget to encourage myself to buy clothes I needed for work. I'll never forget walking into The Limited in Boston (where I lived at the time) and buying this top and skirt - it's one of the very first things I bought. I still like it and would wear it today, especially the navy skirt. Some things truly never go out of style!

Looking back through old photos, I was excited to wear this outfit again because it seemed so cute! But once it was on, I felt like a Girl Scout thanks to the ruffle/tie detail on the top and overall color scheme. And the skirt looks terrible in the recent photos (not sure why it looks so much better on the left?!). The military/safari trend will always be a classic to me, though, even if these particular pieces aren't looking so hot.

What do you think? Do these outfits still hold up 8-10 years later?
