While we're on the subject of throwback fashion (see: yesterday's post on skorts), can we talk about that era - sometime around 2001 - when everybody wore black dress pants to "go out"?! I feel like it's all coming full circle, because dress pants are - once again - the new weekend pants. I snapped up this red pair recently and while I do plan to wear them with something office appropriate at some point, in the meantime I couldn't help but give them a spin with a tropical crop top for weekend. Moral of the story: don't let your high-waist dress pants go unused on weekends. They work great for casual occasions too!
